Once the condition improves, your veterinarian may reduce the frequency to every other day or a few times per week to maintain control. It should be given at least 2 hours before or after food, as food can affect absorption. For best results, follow your veterinarian’s advice on flea control, skin care, and nutrition.

The most common side effects are vomiting, soft stools, or diarrhea, which are usually mild and temporary. If your pet shows signs of persistent vomiting, weight loss, unusual tiredness, or signs of infection (such as fever or swollen lymph nodes), contact your veterinarian immediately.
